"Canyons" Policies

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Canyons Bed & Breakfast in historic Escalante, Utah. We're looking forward to having you as our Guests!   Canyons B&B leans towards a more relaxed, independent atmosphere with self-catering in the Guest Lounge, so guests can come and go at their leisure…like home!

parking 

We are at 120 N. Main, on the corner of Main St. and 100 E, where you will turn uphill to find our red gravel parking area.   Please park facing the rustic wood fence, and walk toward the wide paved entrance to find the Guest Lounge.

SELF CHECK-IN

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM until WHENEVER at the Guest Lounge.  Inside, you will find directions to your room.  If you are late, no worries, we'll keep the lights on!  NOTE:  One-Nighter room assignments occassionally change - so please check the board when you arrive, and don't forget to sign up for breakfast!

Breakfast sign-Up

Your reservation should indicate how many people we need to cook for, or $5 per person will be added to your total.  In the Guest Lounge, find the Breakfast Sign-Up Board, for Homemade Continental Breakfast.  Our breakfast is served from 8:15-9:00am on the weekdays and 7:30-8:30 on the weekends. We also cater to sensitivities if you let us know in the notes when you make your reservation.     

Check-out

Check-out is at 11AM.  Please leave the key in the room, not in your pocket, and travel safe.  We hope to see you again soon!

booking fees

We accept Visa, Master Card and Discover. Please add 13.77% state and local taxes to the room rate.  At time of booking, you will be charged a non-refundable booking fee of $50 per room, which will be applied to your total.  The remainder will be charged 72 hours before your arrival, and becomes non-refundable at that time.

Cancellations or Early Departure

Your $50 booking fee (per room) is non-refundable.  Cancellations within 1 week will be charged $50 per room per night.  Cancellations within 72 hours are NON-REFUNDABLE and already charged in full, but you may opt to change the date of your reservation within the same calendar year for a $75 re-booking fee.   

No Smoking

NO SMOKING is permitted on the property due to the fire danger this year.  Please smoke on the outskirts of the property and PLEASE be conscious of putting it out safely.  Thank you for understanding.

ADA, Pets & children

As a Bed & Breakfast under 6 units, we are not required to be handicapped accessible or to accept assistance pets.  All rooms have two steps up to the porch, and are therefore not handicapped accessible.  Sorry, NO PETS allowed.   Only the Cowboy Room, with 2 Queen beds, is large enough to accomodate children.  An ADDITIONAL PERSON FEE of $10 per person may apply.  We are willing to accommodate 1 small child in the Lodge, Canyon and Garden rooms if you don't mind sleeping together!  The fee for 1 extra small child is $10.  

 

2 Guests Per Room

For the Lodge, Garden and Canyon Rooms.  These rooms are perfect for couples and popular for returning guests.  We do not have extra beds.

4 Guests - Cowboy Room

This is the only room that has two Queen beds, and the only room large enough to accomodate children.  $10 additional person fee.

No Daily Housekeeping Service

However, if you need any extra supplies please let us know.  You can also put extra garbage in the round metal garbage can by our back door.

Open Seasonally

Canyons Bed & Breakfast is open seasonally (approx Feb 19th - November 20th).  We may have a couple rooms open part of the winter as well.  Please check the calendar for the dates you are interested in and give us a call.

Have a safe and adventurous trip to Escalante on 'the roads less traveled'...and please watch for deer and cattle on the roads.  We'll see you soon!
